An Apple a day keeps anti aging creams away! Include at least 6 portions of fruits and vegetables in your diet. The more colorful your diet the more good it does to your skin. Orange and all types of berries are magic potions for skin which contain vitamin C and Beta carotene. Similarly carrots, red, yellow and green bell peppers etc are to be included in daily meals.
Yoghurt is another easily available and cheap product which has good bacteria which keeps all your stomach problems at bay. A happy stomach translates a healthy skin. Make sure to eat 1 cup of yoghurt or buttermilk every day. You can eat yoghurt with a variety of toppings like berries, banana or flavor it Vanilla!
Green tea has lots of antioxidants which help the skin in slowing down the aging process and keeping it blemish free.
Now after talking of caring for it inside, let’s see how we can take care of it from the outside.
A daily cleansing routine will not only take away impurities and dead cells but also keep it free of germs and other harmful bacteria. Make it a routine to cleanse with a suitable face wash or good old gram flour and turmeric mixed with milk to make a paste.
After cleansing moisturizing should be an equally important aspect of your daily routine. A good moisturizer which suits your skin type should be used. For oily skins use only water based moisturizers. Homemade moisturizers are honey and milk.
Next comes the toner, as skin ages open pores are a cause of concern for many. A toner will help you deal with the problem to a great extent. You can use diluted apple cider vinegar as an effective toner too. Applying egg white and washing off after half an hour with luke warm water also leaves the skin taut toned and firm.
Sunny days are happy days but not for our skin. Sun does a lot of damage to our skin than we can imagine. Always remember to use a sunscreen before you step out. Use umbrellas, and also shades to protect your skin under the eyes. Over exposure to sun can cause sun burns and eventually lead to cancer too.
Stress, worry and anxiety rob the skin of its freshness and make it dark and dull. So always have a happy disposition and be cheerful at all times. Avoid stress and stressful situations.
I am sure with the above tips you will be able to protect your skin and maintain it radiant, glowing and fresh.
